I’m Syndi Askew. I help you find and compare homes across Northeast Florida, arrange the right tours and understand the details before you decide. From your first ideas to the day you receive the keys, you’ll have someone working through the choices with you.
First, tell me how you want to live
We’ll talk about where you want to be, what you love in a home and what isn’t working in the one you have now. Your preferred architecture, privacy, outdoor space, commute, budget and timing help shape the search.
We’ll separate your must-haves from the features you’re happy to trade, and consider ongoing ownership costs alongside the purchase price. If you’re moving from out of the area, we’ll make room to explore the communities as well as the homes.
A focused shortlist, with a reason for every home
I’ll help you narrow the locations and review available properties against your priorities. We’ll compare the setting, floor plan, condition and asking price, then arrange tours of the homes that deserve your time. Video walkthroughs can help you narrow the choices before traveling.
After each tour, we’ll talk through what worked, what didn’t and what needs a closer look. Your feedback shapes the next round, so the search becomes more useful as we go.
Look closely at what makes a home exceptional
My experience in construction and design helps me look at how a home works as well as how it looks. We’ll consider the quality of the finishes, natural light, room proportions, storage and the connection between indoor and outdoor living.
Waterfront and coastal homes
We’ll distinguish a water view from direct frontage and practical boating access. For a property you’re considering, I’ll help identify questions about docks, access, seawalls, flood exposure and insurance, and coordinate with the appropriate specialists to investigate them.
Custom homes and distinctive architecture
We’ll look at the layout, materials, condition and available construction records. A dramatic entry can catch your eye; the kitchen, bedrooms, storage and outdoor spaces need to work for your everyday life. If you’d rather build, we can compare that path with buying an existing home.
Gated and golf communities
We’ll compare the setting, access, association rules and recurring costs. If club amenities matter to you, we’ll confirm membership availability, requirements and fees rather than assume they come with the address.
An offer made with confidence
When you find a home you want to pursue, I’ll review comparable sales and the property’s condition with you, help prepare an offer and negotiate around your priorities. Price, financing, contingencies and the closing date all deserve attention.
Once you’re under contract, I’ll help coordinate inspections, keep track of deadlines and stay in touch with the people involved through closing. Licensed inspectors, lenders and attorneys handle the technical advice within their fields.
